registering your school your students may participate
in the following
KMEA events.
1. KMEA
Sanctioned Contests and State Marching Band Championships
– including Regional, Semi-Finals and Finals Competition
2. KMEA Solo & Ensemble and Large Group Festivals
3. KMEA All-State Groups: All-State Bands, Kentucky Children's
Chorus, Kentucky Junior High Chorus, All-State High School
Choruses, All-State Orchestras
Registering
Your School
School registration is the first step to participation
in any of the KMEA events and should take priority. Failure
to have the school registration complete could keep your students
from participating in the events. Please
note that the change in school registration fees.

Please
complete the School Registration Form/Invoice for the proper
level (high school, middle school, elementary) and send the
proper Registration Fee to KMEA.
The
forms are designed so you can type directly into them,
print
them, then mail them with payment
to KMEA.
After
receipt of your school registration, KMEA
will send you an email notification of receipt.
All the necessary forms and publications that
you will need for participation
in KMEA events will be in the KMEA Information Center,
accessed by logging in to the KMEA Web Directory and then
clicking on the KMEA Information Center. All-state audition
PDFs will also be located in the Information Center but your
school registration must be complete before you will be
granted access to the audition materials.
To access
the information on the web, you will need to click on the
Web Based Member Directory link located on the KMEA homepage.
Completion
of School Registration AND current KMEA-MENC Membership is
crucial for participation in KMEA Events. SMBC applications
and all-state auditions will not be certified until these
two items are complete.
KMEA-MENC
Membership
If you are a current member and have completed and sent your
School Registration Form you are ready to go. If you are NOT
a current member, or your membership will expire in either August
or September, you should
- complete
the membership form
- make
your check payable to MENC
- send
the membership form and check to KMEA to assure that your
membership is recorded in the KMEA database
Please
note that your membership must be current before SMBC
applications
will be accepted and your students will permitted to audition
for All-State.Renewals sent directly to MENC
may take up to two months to process and might interfere
with your
participation in KMEA events.
