After
careful consideration, the Jim and Carolyn Fern
Scholarship Committee selected one outstanding applicant
to receive the award for 2010–11. This year, the committee
awarded the Jim and Carolyn Fern Scholarship
to Cameron Gish.
Gish, a graduate of Daviess County High School, Gish currently is a senior
at Murray State University majoring in music education.
He
is
a
member
of
CMENC, having served as chapter president in 2008–2009.
His major applied area is euphonium, and he is a student of Ray Conklin. His
music education activities are numerous and he carries an enviable GPA.
KMEA is proud to honor Mr. Cameron Gish with
the 2010 Jim and Carolyn Fern Music Education
Scholarship. We
wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors,
as we
are sure he will be a success in all he pursues.
